Job seeker visa

Article

The job seeker visa is aimed at highly qualified Non-EU nationals holding a German, a recognised or a comparable foreign academic degree. The visa will enable the holder to remain in Germany for a period of six months in order to find appropriate employment.

This visa provides a seamless transition into a residence permit once you have secured permanent employment.

Processing period

The processing period may take 2-3 months. Based on previous experience, most job seeker visa applications will usually be processed within 2 weeks. During the processing period you cannot inquire about the status of your application. Upon expiry of the processing period only the applicant, his/her legal representative or persons holding an authorization letter from the applicant may inquire about the status of the visas.

Fees

The fee is 75,00 €, payable in QAR cash or by international credit card in Euro (Mastercard, Visa). Euro cash, checks or debit cards are not accepted. The application form can be downloaded for free.
